Project Introduction
Welcome to Sofa Safari, Surreal Animal Art Prints | Sofa Safari Collection by David Hopkins. A surreal collection of digital collage art where wildlife abandons the wilderness and steps into unexpected domestic worlds. Giraffes lounge beneath moons, elephants relax in bathtubs, and exotic creatures find themselves at home in beautifully imagined interiors, creating a playful collision between nature and modern living.
the challenge
Getting all the animals to sit still for Sofa Safari wasn't easy! The giraffe kept bumping its head on the ceiling, the gorilla wanted the remote, and the elephant insisted on taking the whole sofa. After a lot of patience (and a little artistic persuasion), everyone finally settled in for the collection.
My solution
In the end, I realised the easiest solution was to let my imagination do the hard work. By combining digital collage, photography and creative experimentation, I was able to bring each character to life exactly as I pictured them—giving every animal its own personality, favourite sofa and a place to call home.
